I can tell you this- it was a present to a high official of an Asian national bank. That was long before it came to be in my hands and I spent many years trying to correctly identify and date this 'magic carpet'! My best information was confirmed back in the 1980's by the then president of the ORRA. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;You may have noticed that I called this a 'magic carpet'. Well, it truly does transport you when you spend time meditating on the design elements! I believe that this is a where the myth of the flying carpet came from.....magnificent and inspired designs that transport the beholder to other realms. There was, and still is sometimes, a spiritual aspect to the art of weaving carpets. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I will add more photos in the coming days.
